Wayne Ross Powell graduated from the faculty of law at the University of British Columbia and was called to the bar in May 1969. He articled and practiced with this firm, becoming a partner in 1973. Initially a litigator with an emphasis on family law, his work now involves real estate, wills and estates, and corporate and commercial matters.

Mr. Powell wrote the B.C. Divorce Guide for Self-Counsel Press and continues to update this work, which is now in it's 20th Edition.

In addition, he and his partner Graham Phillips provide general legal services and advice for the Gulf and Fraser Fishermens' Credit Union.
